UNITED 3.0 – Universal community Network to collectively implement Innovation, Technology by Engineering and Designing networks on the Critical Path

UNITED 3.0 – collective implementation of Economic Development 4.0

UNITED 3.0 is a Universal community Network to implement the Innovation, Technology, Entertainment and Design networks underlying Economic Development 4.0.

Lessons from the free and open source software community

Linux is one of the largest, most complex engineering projects in the world. It is created by aggregating the volunteer efforts of individuals and contributions of corporations that align their strategy with the principles of fee and open source software. Economic Development 4.0 can be created in the same way except the outcome will be Web 3.0 networks on the Critical Path to Economic Development 4.0.

Market opportunity

There is an enormous opportunity in re-casting the process of Economic Development and solutions to global issues by applying social networking concepts to the participants in these markets. A Web 3.0 network can bring together the diverse players in the economic development space where they can share ideas, create tools, prioritise solutions and implement networks on the path to Economic Development 4.0.

Existing economic development and philanthropic efforts are fragmented and overlap. There are significant benefits provided by a Web 3.0 network that provides transparency and coordination to economic development initiatives globally. The potential of globally coordination of such efforts is also a real prospect given the significant benefits of a UNITED approach.

Available in five days … ready in 30-90 days

The technology underlying UNITED could be provided to a partner within 5 days. The UNITED network parallels the content of Equity Market 3.0 and the purpose of Climate Stability 3.0. There are some differences in participants and content, but this just involves renaming some content/tags and adding some. A partner would then customise and launch within 30-90 days. Workflow and project management could also be added, but could be deferred until after consumer adoption.

Partners

Potential partners have been identified on the Critical Path page. The Open Source community has developed software (or tools) that are mature and equal or better to privately owned offerings. Volunteer contributors to Open source software tools may choose to offer their talents to efforts to create open source structures. This would be a natural evolution of their volunteer efforts. The work in tools is done – let’s move onto to solutions that create structures that drive Economic Development 4.0. UNITED provides a platform to measure, harness and focus this collective effort.

Inspired by TED

Every innovation is only incremental and relies on prior contribution. The name UNITED was inspired by TED. For good reason, Matt Taylor encouraged me to apply to speak at TED because it is the perfect platform to share my ideas about Equity Market 3.0 and Economic Development 4.0. TED could help with both. Please see my application to speak at TED listed on the Open Letters page.
